WFH Entrepreneur Tips

Fatimah Hunter - House of Fatimah - Taylor S. Hunter

Here are my Work from home essentials:

  1. Purchase your favorite coffee or tea and don’t start your day until you’ve poured into yourself. Working at home

  2. Create a designated “work station” within your home. This can be your personal desk, dining room table, etc.

  3. Create your daily to-do list the night before and list out your top priority tasks. Once you start your work day, always do the hard tasks first!

  4. If you’re one to work late at night, invest in good lighting. Good lighting while working in the evenings for me is often the reason why I’m fully awake instead knocked out with a computer in my lap.

  5. Take breaks! Just because you at home doesn’t mean you can work all day (nor does it mean you rest all day!). Set up your schedule so that you have designated break time built into your work day. Doing so will allow you to feel good about the amount of focus you’ve had and work you’ve gotten done. I personally use this time to scroll Twitter or Instagram. Pro Tip: Schedule email checking breaks - I personally am still working on this tip because my weakness is truly email notifications, but once mastered it will allow me to truly own my work schedule and ensure I’m answering everyone instead of reading notifications and remembering I need to get back to work and forgetting to respond later (smh!).
